Allyson Gottsman

Executive Vice President

Gottsman has spent her entire career in healthcare management, working predominantly with primary care practices. She began as a unit manager at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital, responsible for a 100-bed unit. She transitioned to ambulatory care and managed hospital-owned primary care practices for many years. In Colorado in 1995, Gottsman was one of the founding members of ClearVision Laser Centers, where she served as vice president of operations. It was at ClearVision in 1996 where she first developed an in-office facilitation program to help practices with efficiency, customer service and excellent patient care.

Gottsman served as the original Colorado state director of the national Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP) program. Under her leadership, IPIP developed into HealthTeamWorks' flagship program, providing the foundation for all our practice transformation services. Building on years of experience managing collaborative ventures and in-office facilitators with ambulatory care practices, Gottsman established and expanded the HealthTeamWorks Systems Transformation Services Team, which provides coaching to medical practices to create patient-centered medical homes and medical neighborhoods, promotes use of health information technology and convenes communities of learning modeled after the evidence-based Institute for Healthcare Improvement Breakthrough Series Learning Collaboratives.

Gottsman also advises several emerging accountable care organizations, bringing her years of entrepreneurial experience to this evolving model of care delivery and compensation.
