Angela Schindler-Berg

Angela Schindler-Berg has been working in the community-based behavioral health field for over 23 years. She is both a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Currently, Ms. Schindler-Berg is HealthTeamWorks’ Project Lead on the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) Regional Learning Network sub-contract in Nebraska and serves as the primary liaison, coach and facilitator for participating primary care practices. She supports practices in identifying innovative workflows, resources, and collaborative partnerships within the medical neighborhood to meet identified patient, social, medical and behavioral health needs. Ms. Schindler-Berg works closely with individual practice transformation and quality improvement teams by maximizing the use of health information technology (HIT) resources to analyze data to improve patient outcomes, and increase efficiency and capabilities over time. Her commitment to better outcomes in value-based care are evident in her design and delivery of cross-regional and collaborative learning events and dissemination of emerging best practices.

Prior to joining HealthTeamWorks, Ms. Schindler-Berg worked as a Program Manager in an integrated care clinic in Omaha, Nebraska, where she provided leadership in program development and organization processes, oversaw data collection, tracked and analyzed outcomes. She brings expertise in mental health, care management, crisis intervention and trauma informed care in primary care settings.  She also sits on the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) Nebraska Board and Mid-America Region 7 Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) Advisory Board.

Ms. Schindler-Berg received a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State College and Master of Science from Drake University in Rehabilitation Administration and Community Clinical Counseling.
