Brian has more than 25 years of healthcare delivery experience in strategic planning, operations, and financial performance management. He is a creative idea generator and consensus builder who uses thought leadership to foster innovation within healthcare delivery teams. He inspires and coaches executive and physician leaders to build cultures that execute strategy and achieve sustainable performance excellence. Brian developed and jointly operated a clinically integrated network with an Academic Medical Center, regional system with four hospitals, and a medical school to with focus to bring in the most resistant physicians to the network. He established a connected care strategy across a full continuum of previously siloed businesses from Heart and Lung transplant to outpatient centers, wellness, free standing emergency departments and imaging centers, to home care and hospice. He was intimately involved in development of overall payor strategies and planning, as well as individual strategies for specific final negotiations.

Brian served as CFO, President and Chief Operating Officer of Florida Hospital’s Central Region, a $4 billion enterprise with private and employed physicians and achieved substantial and profitable market share growth.  Under his leadership, Florida Hospital was ranked as the #1 Hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report for three consecutive years, and was a 2014 finalist for the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Under his leadership and deep experience working with physicians and medical staff to develop clinical quality expectations, plans to achieve, and execution of them to success, Florida Hospital was also the largest hospital in the United States to achieve the ISO 9001 certification for quality. Previously, Brian was the Chief Financial Officer for the Florida Division of Adventist Health Systems. He was instrumental in the successful launch of Celebration Health, a state-of-the-future healthcare facility in Walt Disney’s Celebration community.

Brian received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Adventist College in Tennessee. He also is a certified public accountant and certified management accountant. Brian is a member of the HealthTeamWorks Board of Directors.
